We provided six machines to
Carbondale Assembly of God, which are used
in three different programs:
- Not Home Yet
This is an after school mentoring program for students in 3rd - 5th
grades at Robertson Elementary. We pick up the students from school, provide a snack, Bible
lesson, tutoring in math, reading, spelling, and help with homework. We also have various
activities and guest speakers. We will accept the first 12 students who sign up for the
program. (4 Volunteers each day)
- Middle School Tutoring
This program is for Clinton students who need help with homework. Math tutors, science
tutors, computers, and proofreaders will be available. The number of students will be
limited by the number of tutors available each night. Students will be admitted on a
first come, first serve basis, each night. (4-8 Volunteers each evening)
- Adult Education
The purpose of this program is to help adults in the community. Classes will be provided
based on need in the following areas: G.E.D., ESL, Literacy, Parenting, Finance,
Job / Computer Training. (2-5 Volunteers for each class)
